General Policies

Each home in our management program is privately owned. We provide recommendations to each home owner on how to make the property as comfortable and attractive as possible to guests. Ultimately the choice is up to the home owner to outfit the property.  We welcome your feedback and gladly work with the owner on how to create the best experience possible.

All of our properties are non-smoking, including vaping and the use of marijuana. Many of our guests are very sensitive to this therefore smoking is strictly forbidden inside the home. Please stay at least 10 feet away from all doors and windows when smoking outside. If you choose to smoke outside of the home, please dispose of cigarette butts in the trash. If smoking has taken place in the home, we’ll have to give extra attention to cleaning and removing any residual smell. There will be a minimum charge of $100.00 for additional cleaning.

All homes in our inventory are supplied with our linen package and a starter set of soap and paper products. Unless otherwise noted, homes are equipped with at least one television and basic cable service.  Kitchens are equipped with the basic necessities, but we recommend you bring any specialty cooking utensils you may need during your stay, and of course, food and condiments.

Not all of our homes have air conditioning. Those that do will be noted.  Remember, we live in a windy climate!  Opening a few windows in the cool evenings will often bring much relief from the heat of the day.

Since the majority of people travel with cell phones these days, a lot of our properties do not include phone service.  Those that do will have it noted and provide local and toll free calls free of charge. Long distance and collect calls are blocked.

Pets are only allowed in “pet friendly” properties. They are not allowed on the furniture and should never be left unattended at the house. Please bring your pet’s bedding, toys and dishes and clean up outside after them.  Your thoughtfulness will keep our pet friendly properties, well, friendly!

When planning a wedding, rehearsal dinner, reunion or other big event, be sure to make your inquiries well in advance.  Depending on the home desired and size of your group there may be additional permits, site fees or equipment rentals involved.  We’re happy to help you plan your special occasion.

Minimum booking dates vary based on county, state and home owner’s association requirements.  Each home will have a minimum night requirement posted.  We appreciate your assistance in following these guidelines.

The one time you don’t want to lose your keys!  There is a charge of $25.00 for each lost house key.

Do you know where your luggage is? Oak Street Hotel & Vacation Homes is not responsible for lost and misplaced items. Items left behind will be held for 30 days and are subject to a shipping and handling charge if you want them returned.

Maximum occupancy rules (which includes children) are strictly enforced.

We strive to keep our website as up to date as possible.  All rental information is deemed reliable, but not guaranteed.

You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a home.

Life happens. Due to unforseen events, reservations may be subject to cancellation. Every effort will be made to find replacement accommodations of equal or greater quality. Oak Street Hotel & Vacation Homes reserves the right to cancel or move any reservation. Oak Street Hotel & Vacation Homes reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

We want you to have fun and enjoy the Gorge.  Our policies are in place for your safety and out of respect for our surroundings.  Violation of federal, state, county or city laws and company policies and house rules will be grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
