If hiking is your thing, choose a trail, lace up your hiking boots, and go. In the spring wildflowers are abundant on Catherine Creek in Washington and Tom McCall State Park in Oregon; in the heat of the summer, Oneonta gorge will keep you cool; watch the leaves and vegetation change in the fall on the Old Highway/Twin Tunnels trail; a snow shoe winter hike on Mount Adams is wonderful for solitude!
